Life is full of suffering. That part is obvious. But today’s reminder came from a community member. They shared how the sky, the warmth of the sun, and the eyes of a child hold as much truth as the pain we often focus on.
I’ve noticed how easy it is to spend energy replaying what went wrong. Missed connections, delayed responses, projects that drag. Those moments take up more space than they deserve. When I pause and really take in a detail as simple as a song played live, or a laugh shared in passing, the weight shifts.
This same principle applies to how we move inside the ZAO. We build in a landscape that includes setbacks and misfires. At the same time, we hold meetings where respect circulates, we run festivals where people connect, and we release songs that capture voices from around the world. Both sides exist. To stay grounded, we train ourselves to notice the wonders as often as the struggles.
Community keeps reinforcing this lesson. Every remix, every fractal session, every proposal that sparks debate is proof that the work matters. Today’s message is not about ignoring suffering. It is about refusing to let it define the whole story.
This lesson came from one of you. If something resonates with you, share it. We build this archive together.
