Wait, who's sending this newsletter?
If you're wondering what is going on, there's a new voice in the Unlock community! I'm Trigs, and you may or may not have noticed me starting to elbow my way in around here. I started making waves in the Unlock community with my proposal draft for the Governance & Membership Steward role. If you're new to DAOs, sometimes these things take time, but as I onboard myself into the community, I have been taking on new responsibilities. Hosting the weekly DAO call and drafting this newsletter are my first steps into DAO contributorship, after cutting my teeth helping design the ambassador program. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know the community and injecting myself into the leadership panel!
As we migrate through these changes, the DAO labors on with steady progress across multiple fronts; we tackled payment accessibility in South America, prepared for Devconnect, and advanced several community initiatives. Here's what happened across our weekly calls this month:
The launchpad now features improved navigation between events and collections, addressing a frequently requested UI enhancement
Julien has integrated AI tools into the development workflow, accelerating PR reviews and clearing backlogs more efficiently
Ongoing cleanup of GitHub repositories and database migrations, particularly important for the upcoming Scout Game collaboration
Plans underway to streamline treasury management by consolidating fees from all chains back to Base

In a move to make December an inclusive community experience, last year's Advent Calendar plan was updated to a Metopia/Scout Game hybrid event with community rewards for year-end engagement across the entire DAO

Congrats @Trigs for your first official Newsletter on behalf of Unlock DAO <3
The plain truth about DAOs is that delegation is not just a fancy way of saying you're delegating your voting power to yourself or another person; it is a term used repeatedly alongside coordination and accountability in DAOs. While people in these networks humanize a technology, it can also be a point of friction if there is no aligned, outspoken mission among DAO members. With our move from founder to Lead Steward and this year from Lead Steward to a fully functional Steward Council, we have been delegating tasks previously on the shoulders of 4 people onto the shoulders of many. This month marks another task delegation: The monthly DAO Newsletter is now authored by our brand new DAO host, @trigs.eth. Please celebrate with us this next step and show your support for Trigs' first DAO Newsletter here: https://paragraph.com/@unlockprotocol/unlock-dao-call-newsletter-or-november-4-2025.
Proud of you @trigs.eth and happy you are part of Unlock highly officially now 🥰
Thanks for all your support and encouragement! 🙏❤️
Congrats @trigs.eth. If there's a person who is dedicated to something that he believes in, that's definitely you.
