A new chapter has arrived! With immense gratitude and a bit of nostalgic sentiment, I am sharing that the era of "Lead Stewardness" is officially over. Together, we now move into an a new era for Unlock Protocol DAO of shared leadership, guided formally by our Steward Council (introductory article will follow soon). Decentralization is not only about the technology and the system, but also how leadership is broken down bit by bit until we as humans are collectively ready for genuine autonomy.

We're shifting to monthly DAO Calls (summary) that thoroughly recap recent developments, while weekly meetings will concentrate on targeted problem-solving. This gives everyone more flexibility to join discussions that resonate most.
Guidance & Onboarding
For those of you who sometimes wonder where to find what in Unlock DAO, make sure to review the “official links” channel in our Discord. It is your go-to for everything from onboarding resources to brand guidelines and social media channels.
Autonomous Contributions
We're emphasizing self-guided action. Use the brand and social media guidelines posted at the end of my Lead Steward tenure as empowering tools for independent work within the DAO.
Enhanced Steward Roles
Further clarity is on the way for the Coordination & Operations Steward role, with a more strategic focus mapped out for the coming year. Keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming proposal, cause that's right, I am not going anywhere for now!
Ethereum Bolivia Event Recap
I flew over to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, throughout the last weekend and visited the Ethereum Bolivia community. It was fantastic to see so many young builders engaging with the Web3 ecosystem. Additionally, Ceci and I finally had an opportunity to meet in person and discuss matters in more depth. I will dedicate a whole article to this, cause the event was amazing!
ApeBond Campaign Progress
Our most recent campaign saw participation jump from 1% to 14%, a promising trend. Let's keep the ideas coming for how we can support the campaign. If you have ideas, please reach out to Ceci, our Steward for Marketing & Communications.
Charmverse Platform Tier Upgrade
The collaborative workspace became pricier after exceeding block limits, but thanks to community support by ccarella we are saved and can keep using the platform!
Steward Council Transition
While I’m still helping with transition tasks, governance is moving steadily to the new council. Proposals, like protocol structure updates and ambassador resources, are in the works to expand our DAO Guidelines.
Merch Store Progress
Through our collaboration with Leah Sams for the role of NFTs of Unlock DAO, we may soon be able to offer exclusive merch to all active role holders in the DAO. This means exclusive merch for outstanding DAO contributors! Below is an example of the more standardized merch that will be coming soon as well:
Event Sponsorship Review
Reports from a recent sponsorship (DevFest Kampala) need to be reviewed to inform even smarter event partnership strategies. Help review here to guide our future sponsorship vision and make it stand out even further!

Collaborations with Ninja Promo are progressing, and the selection of specific influencers is near, with a strong focus on TikTok and X. Add to the discussion and review the current suggestions in our Marketing & Communications Discord channel here.

Community-generated content is thriving. Members are encouraged to submit any format (videos, articles, photos) that highlight your Unlock story via our Charmverse collaborative space. Creative, authentic contributions are now recognized and rewarded with $UP tokens.
Ethereum Bolivia x Scout Game x Unlock Collab
Exciting new partnerships with Scout Game and Ethereum Bolivia are underway, focusing on practical building and onboarding of new developers. We are currently collecting ideas, so please leave us a note on what you want to see added to the protocol, re-designed, mini-apps, or whatever comes to your mind.
DAO-Centric Steward Role
The Steward role for innovation and tech is being reimagined as a collaborative, bounty-based system, opening more roles for motivated builders, with guidance and mentorship provided throughout. We are looking forward to blahkheart's adapted proposal.
