1/n @garyvee joins the @BanklessHQ podcast to talk about #VeeFriends that he launched 18 months ago during the bull market & to share his view on the state of the #NFT market. Let's look at the #web3 space through the lens of a marketeer, a branding expert, and a storyteller 🧵
2/n The premise of #VeeFreinds is to establish Intelectual Property (think Disney, Pokemon, etc.) and @garyvee made it his "rest-of-life" mission to follow through with this bc/ this is a dream of his. With #NFT technology, he finally saw the perfect way to do it.
3/n Each #VeeFriend #NFT has a specific message & meaning hand drawn by @garyvee & holds certain levels of utility/access (i.e VeeCon or Private Events) to Gary V & his projects and events. He is focusing on adding and tweaking the #utility to make them perfect over time.

4/n Every IP started with 1 medium: Harry Potter was a book, @Pokemon were trading cards, VeeFriend NFTs. From a marketing perspective, the source format doesn't matter. It's about evolving the story. @garyvee chose to bring his products in front of kids:
5/n According to @garyvee it is too early to judge most #NFT projects. Most traditional companies had big ups and downs too before hitting their success (i.e. @uber, @amazon). The most important part is that people keep building and don't get distracted by outside voices.

6/n As an Operator of an #NFT project, @garyvee needs to focus on expanding and improving the #VeeFriend series. He needs to add #value and desire for the collectibles (which will take decades). In the meantime, #utility (access, merch, etc.) will help on this route
7/n @garyvee is all-in on #NFT bc/ it is the most important technology since the internet for a marketeer and storyteller. Once all these scammy explorations and pumping/dumping schemes are over, people will realize the true power of digital ownership and the possibility it opens

8/n Just because the first year of #NFT discovery is covered w/ hype cycles around #PFP & JPG flippening does not mean #NFT is not valuable! Moving away from mass ads towards engaged fanbases or early adopters' loyalty with ownership rights to the products. Endless ideas
9/n IMO #NFT will dominate #digitalmarketing in the years to come. Not only for big industries (i.e. watches) but also for smaller entities (i.e. musicians, gaming start-ups, etc.) the proof-of-ownership will change the marketing game in the next years.
