This video shows an example of the new first-generation geo-focused (location-focused) metaverse platforms for an actual business use case.
In this case a Texas state-approved online driver education company located in North Texas wants to attract more business from Far West Texas - in this case El Paso. Additionally, the business owner wants to have emotional connection with the El Paso audience to help build trust.
The above video isn't branded or otherwise professionally-edited. It is a raw, uncut example of using a metaverse platform tied to locations on Earth. The following points are done to show how the above video, if better recorded & edited, can help increase sales + give actual value to the prospective customer who needs driver education:
The course being sold is for those ages 18-24 in Texas. Texas mandates a 6 hour driver education course if someone does not yet have a drivers license.
The metaverse example chosen is the football stadium for the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Most people in El Paso know of the stadium, and many of the campus' students likely have attended a game or other event at the stadium. This increases the degree of emotional connection - in this case the emotion of familiarity.
The video could be narrated in a way about drunk driving or otherwise impaired driving.
The video shows the stadium, with the character dropping out of the sky and into the parking lot on the North side of the stadium. In the real world, as one drives out of the parking lot on that side of the stadium there is a roundabout for traffic.
The narrator could show how the character, which goes from walking on the parking lot ground into a car, starts to drive poorly and - ultimately - runs his car into the cliffside as he drives on the road heading West after leaving the parking lot.
This, obviously, couldn't (or at least shouldn't) be replicated in the real world. However, the example of an impaired driving auto accident can be created and described (narrated) with actual real world locations to add authenticity and connection instead of just "theory" or content which doesn't connect with the audience (in this case 18-24 year old students in El Paso).
This particular metaverse platform provides for multiple people to interact at the same time. The video, however, shows just one character by himself. Scripting and having multiple people acting out a scene in this metaverse can increase storytelling, showing examples as close as possible to existing in the real world, and more.
