C O N T X T is an artist from Cornwall, UK. His productions blur the lines between Rave and Ambient. Twisting genres from Downtempo to Breakbeat and Future Garage, his intricate and dynamic tracks take you on a journey, touching both the dark and bright corners of one’s mind. He is very much inspired by nature and nostalgic memories when making music - comparing his music to an audible photo collection, each track is linked to a memory and a feeling of that point in time.

Speaking about the way he creates music C O N T X T told us:
“So another great way to start tracks is just going around random record stores. If they haven't got any turntables in there, I don't even listen to them. Just do a lucky dip of stuff that looks interesting, about five records, and then turn on my direct drive turntable, which plugs straight into Ableton, slice it up using Simpler and use push to sample from vinyl instantly. And that's another way to find those imperfect artefacts, stuff you wouldn't be able to get by playing an instrument in a typical manor. It's just like the stuff that can be seen as a mistake or something bad, and turning that into a focal point of a track.”
C O N T X T is part of a collective in Cornwall called ESC and has never before been part of a scene primarily based on online interaction.
“I haven't really been a part of an online community before, which is why I'm so excited to be a part of Wild Awake, to push something I've never been a part of and I feel the experience I'm gaining with my collective in the physical world will feed into The world of web3 and vice versa.”
The track that C O N T X T will release through Wild Awake onchain will be his first experiment with NFTs and Web3 tools. Save Me is a statement track for he is as an artist right now. It’s out on DSPs and you can listen it here:
We are super excited to share this with the world so mark your calendars for the drop on 11 May via TokenTraxx.

Wild Awake fourth drop artist - ClymaClyma has been through a process to get to be the artist he is now. What started with The Infadels deformed and then formed into Snow Palms. Musically, this is a voyage from electronic rock to the kind of composed music associated with minimalism. Personally, it was not as straightforward, but necessary nonetheless. The next step is, again, both musical and personal. Musically, Clyma takes a left from Snow Palms into a more alternative electronic arcade. P...

Wild Awake second drop artist - simmerdownsimmerdown is a sample fanatic, and her music has roots in the cultures that surround that, from hip hop to her visceral love for house and garage. Her music is where these fascinations intersect and awaken. There’s a sense of bliss that runs through all her tracks, of the kind where you want to go barefoot in the spring time. simmerdown is a versatile artist, however, and there’s plenty of moments and tracks that see her take a slightly different pat...
