• Aave Proposal; [ARC] Whitelist Balancer’s Liquidity Mining Claim

  • The purpose of this proposal is to enable Balancer DAO to retrieve the stkAAVE Liquidity Mining incentives distributed to Linear Pools in the Balancer Boosted Aave Pool.

  • Around 1,500 stkAAVE are sought after by Balancer DAO from several linear pools. After depositing funds into Aave while Liquidity Mining Incentives were being given out, Balancer DAO accrued this stkAAVE.

  • The contract addresses of the Linear Pool are unable to manage or recover the reception of stkAAVE tokens. In order to update the contract address that can call and receive the stkAAVE, governance intervention is necessary.

  • The proposed update would make it possible for Balancer DAO to access the stkaAAVE from the linear pools inside the Balancer Boosted Aave Pool.

• Balancer Proposal; [BIP-69] Whitelist Beethoven X Gnosis Safe for Balancer’s VotingEscrow

  • In order to vote-lock B-80BAL-20WETH owned by the Beethoven X community into veBAL to take part in governance for the Balancer DAO and gauge voting, notably for pools on Optimism, this proposal hopes to win over the community's favor.

  • The first official friendly fork constructed on Balancer V2 and native to the Fantom network is called Beethoven X. Recently, Beethoven and Balancer collaborated to launch on Optimism.

  • The Beethoven X community approved a proposal to increase the exposure to Balancer through the following actions: the market purchase of $25,000 worth of B-80BAL-20WETH to lock as veBAL; the monthly allocation of a portion of Beethoven's protocol fees towards the purchase of B-80BAL-20WETH to lock as veBAL; and the promise to convert any farmed BAL tokens on Optimism to Ethereum in order to buy B-80BAL-20WETH to lock as veBAL.

• Balancer Proposal; [BIP-70] Authorize the Batch Relayer v4

  • To get a refresher on what the Batch Relayer is you can review the proposal to approve the Batch Relayer and approve the Batch Relayer v2 and approve Batch Relayer v3.

  • Reaper linear pool tokens can now be wrapped and unwrapped as part of the functionality introduced in version 4. As a result, we are able to launch Reaper-boosted pools on Optimism. Until Aave publishes appropriate atoken wrappers, we can't plug directly into Aave v3.

  • However, by utilizing a Reaper single strategy non-upgradable vault that solely farms Aave, we can get past this issue with essentially no additional risk. Reaper's single strategy vault architecture was forked from Yearn and has been operational for months, peaking at 9 figures of TVL, so it may be regarded as being comparatively battle-tested.
