the ability of good instructors to explain something simply from first principles to the nth level, not only with precision but efficiency, in an unbroken succession never ceases to amaze me
Patience isn’t one of my strong suits so I’ve been trying to build some better habits.
Regardless of what I am doing, these are the things that get done:
- learn to read/write Korean
- focused stretching for 10 mins
- practice programming
- take a multivitamin
Today is day 30 - seems trite but a 1% improvement every day for a year results in a 37x gain due to compounding.
Daily is underrated.

Today crushed a lot of people.
I am in shock with those who celebrate Charlie's death.
While I don't agree with every position he held, his legacy of choosing discourse over violence through open debate is undeniable.
It's perhaps the most spiritually American thing you can do and it has engaged millions of young people to become invested in their country’s future.
The loss of any life is tragic and am gutted for his family.
My concern is that this event will drive many to be more cynical but the way we choose to respond to this watershed moment is fundamentally important.
Don't take the easy route.
