There’s something powerful about artists who choose their own path and decide that building their dream is worth more than clocking in for someone else’s. For our Lucky Number 7 Artist Spotlight, we’re featuring an artist whose name alone carries the energy of growth, abundance, and life. Ekinusu, better known in the art world as 0ffline. She is a visionary creator blending spirituality, symbolism, and cosmic depth into minimalist surrealist works that feel like transmissions from another dimension. Let’s step into her universe.
SI:
What is your name? Also your artist handle?
OFF:
Lol! My government name is Ekinsu. People know me as 0ffline. This is my artist name.
SI:
WOW! I think your name is awesome! I had to look it up because I am obsessed with the meaning of names, and your name can be translated as “Harvest Water”, which is another way of showing or saying you are growth, abundance and life. That is pretty powerful. Anyway, sorry about the tangent there; so when did you first get into art?
OFF:
I think when I was three. Even though my parents work in the medical field, they have a soft spot for art. One of my mom’s close friends is an artist, Vedia Yeşim Bayanoğlu, and I grew up watching her paint, and painting with her.
SI:
She does have some beautiful art pieces, that is for sure! What was the catalyst or moment that pushed you to take it seriously?
OFF:
I realized that in order to make money, I needed to work. The real question was: who do I want to work for, and what do I want to build? I decided I’d rather grind 24/7 building my own path, doing what I love, than work 40 hours a week for someone else.
SI:
What themes or ideas tend to show up most in your work?
OFF:
Spirituality, cosmic remembering, and space.
SI:
How would you define your art style (in your own words)?
OFF:
I'd describe it as minimalist cosmic surrealism rooted in symbolism.
SI:
How did you discover NFTs, and what made you decide to participate in the space?
OFF:
My boyfriend showed me Ape NFTs and told me how much they were selling for. After that, I blindly jumped into the space as an NFT artist with no strategy. This was in 2021.
SI:
I think a lot of people did the same thing. I saw some of what these pieces were being sold and bought for and I started thinking, how do I get into this world! Blindly jumping into it I think is the best way to go. What platform(s) do you primarily use to sell your work, and why?
OFF:
I've sold my work on Hic et Nunc, Teia, Foundation, Rodeo, Rarible, and Zora. I followed the hype and witnessed the rise and fall of different platforms. Now I’m building my own website to sell my work independently. I’m not very active on X, but Farcaster definitely helped me find a supportive community that aligns with me.

SI:
I have heard a lot of people say that X was once the spot but it has changed a lot and that Farcaster has been a great place to develop community amongst the art community. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned as an artist so far?
OFF:
Community and a clear vision above everything.
SI:
Community is very important! What advice would you give to artists who are curious about NFTs but hesitant to jump in?
OFF:
If you feel called to it, just jump in, you’ll learn along the way. And be kind, leave the negative side of your ego out of the space. (Trust me)
SI:
Just for fun! What kind of music do you listen to? (pick one genre) And is it the same genre while you are creating?
OFF:
Idk what genre are lord fufu and producer vita :’)) but I love the beats they make and I can't stop listening to them lately
From painting at just three years old to navigating the ever evolving NFT landscape. 0ffline represents a generation of artists who aren’t afraid to leap first and learn along the way. Her journey reminds us that artistry isn’t just about talent; it’s about intention. It’s about choosing your own blueprint. It’s about community. And maybe most importantly, it’s about remembering who you are; both cosmically and creatively.

Artist Spotlight - Milibooo
Welcome to the third edition of Artist Spotlight. Today we are highlighting a photographer, and everyone’s favorite ghost Milibooo. BOOO: My name is Mili. My han...

Artist Spotlight - Sashelka
Today is our second Artist Spotlight but our first of many interviews with artists onchain and beyond! Today we interviewed Sashelka. An artist who has had art follow her entire life. So let’s get into it! SI: When did you get into art?SASHELKA: I guess I’ve been creating my whole life. I was always drawing, taking photos, and acting in school theater. But I never really thought of myself as an artist. It all felt more like a hobby, something completely natural and ordinary. I never imagined ...

You wrote this so beautifully 😭😭 your words are very powerful and thank you so much for giving me this platform 🫶🏼❤️🔥 My mom always say that people are what their name is and i found mind blowing that you made this correlation 🤯🤯
All heart, all soul . you can feel it in everything she does . Nothing feels forced, it feels received… like you’re translating something bigger than yourself. No wonder her work is cosmic, she’s a star herself . Much love always my @0ffline 🫶🏻✨ 69000 🙏🏻
