Through empathy and imagination, she turns everyday faces into soulful narratives. So let's get to it (SI = Sage Inks, BOOO = Milibooo) SI: What is your name? (also your artist handle?) BOOO: My name is Mili. My han...

Today is our second Artist Spotlight but our first of many interviews with artists onchain and beyond! Today we interviewed Sashelka. An artist who has had art follow her entire life. So letβs get into it! SI: When did you get into art?SASHELKA: I guess Iβve been creating my whole life. I was always drawing, taking photos, and acting in school theater. I learned my name in anger
carried it like a blade through years of noise
every hurt teaching me how to hurt back
then something in me went quiet
I set the blade down
opened my hands instead of my fists
and found love had been waiting the whole time
I learned my name in anger
carried it like a blade through years of noise
every hurt teaching me how to hurt back
then something in me went quiet
I set the blade down
opened my hands instead of my fists
and found love had been waiting the whole time

Note To Self following yesterday's poem, this is another one that follows the same theme. just be really deep in my thoughts.
Note to self, love doesnβt rush when itβs real. . thereβs a lesson in there . Beautifully written β¨ 69000 ππ»
yes I like that. I also think that we don't have to be the first to attack or defend. We think that is who we are, we have to build walls or hurt people to be safe when the reality is we need to understand that we have always been love, and that is what our name really is. love.
I try too, but sometimes I still want to clench/show my fists π€ Love it Ren π€ 56789 π
In this poem, @serenussage follows a speaker who learns a name in anger, carries it like a blade through years of noise, and discovers that setting the blade down opens hands to love that has waited all along.
