One Day
The soul cries out for a reconnection with God,
And a reconnection with each other.
Community is what it desires
But it doesnβt mend what was broken.
Forgiveness is what pays the debt
left behind by what went wrong.
When debts remain, we collect them sideways:
through resentment,Β
punishment,Β
and revenge.
Every wrong must be carried by someone.
Someone has to absorb the cost;
Will it be me or will it be you?
Only then does peace arrive.

>Every wrong must be carried by someone. Someone has to absorb the cost; Will it be me or will it be you? Love these lines. There had to be someone.
yes these are my favorite lines as well. A reminder that we should be the ones to absorb the cost, especially if someone absorbed it for us as well.
One Day by @serenussage examines the longing to reconnect with God and with others, the pull of community, and the debt left by past harms. Forgiveness appears as the path to repair, while resentment, punishment, and revenge extend the cost until peace arrives.
It is so honestly written β¨
One Day This were thoughts and reflections that I had that I turned into poetic grace.
The more I read what you write, the more familiar you feel, but there are still parts of you Iβm figuring out 100000 ππ»
thanks! It is one of the reasons I love writing because it allows you to share who you are to the world.
Itβs hard to accept your own mistakesβ¦ but youβre right, only through acceptance do we find wholeness and peace π€

Thank you π«Άπ»π€
Personally, I think peace comes when you become honest and humble with yourself; that's where serenity and forgiveness come from. But that's just my opinion! Congratulations on your writing. π€β¨
Yeah I love that. I think that is an element that needs to be taken for forgiveness and serenity.
