Today I had two interviews with web3 companies.
The first one is a very well-known project. The manager showed me their beautiful office on a high level of a building with a big city view. There is a coffee stand, casual spaces, couch, snack bar and all that. But when I enter the work area, I see desks lining up close to each other as if they try their best to save space, while the entrance and the public space is huge.
The work didn't sound exciting. The manager himself looked burnt-out.
The second one is less fancy, more people are hanging out or having meetings in the public space, and it feels comfy. The workspace is, at least, not smaller than the public space, but seeing people sitting together shoulder by shoulder, makes me think of prison.
The work sounds interesting, but the manager has inferior communication skills, I didn't even understand some of his questions, let alone answer it correctly.
Call me cynical but I feel really tired. It's not like I can't find a way out, it's more like, even if I want to escape, I only escape from one cage to another. I came home and continued the work which I'll need to spend my night time to finish because I went out for the interviews.
They said in web3 we all burnt out, so I guess I'm not lonely.
Prompt: a fancy office, industrial style, crowded workers, web developers, lock, handcuffs, computers, metal-chains. realistic, 8k
Diary day: 3
Depression level: 7 / 10
Gut health level: 2 / 10
Exercise level: 2 / 10
