We shipped an update that fixes one of the common pain points for writers on Paragraph: you can now manage multiple publications from a single Paragraph account.
Previously, starting a second publication — whether for personal writing, company updates, or a side project — meant creating an entirely new account. That came with multiple logins, email addresses, and dashboards. It was clunky and unnecessary friction.
Now, all your writing lives under one roof.
To manage multiple publications or to create a new one, head to the dashboard and click on the dropdown in the top left navigation bar.
In general, it’s best to keep your writing under one publication, especially if the themes and tone are consistent. But if you’re writing about totally different things (say, startup advice and poetry), it can make sense to split them up.
A simple rule of thumb: put yourself in the reader’s shoes.
When someone subscribes to your newsletter, they build expectations based on what they’ve read. If your next post feels like it may be totally unexpected or less relevant to the reader, that may be a sign it belongs in a different publication.
If you’ve already created multiple accounts to manage different publications, you can now consolidate them. Here's a step-by-step to bring your publications into a single account:
Head to Import/Export in your Settings and export your posts and subscribers from the publication you’d like to move.
Import your export file into the desired account and publication:
Sign into the account where you want everything to live;
Make sure you're in or switch to the desired publication;
Head to the import/export settings page;
Import the export file you just downloaded.
Once everything looks good, you can delete your old publication and account if you’d like.
