I recently completed a long pedal kayak trip. The route ran along the western coast of the Gulf of Thailand from the provincial center of Surat Thani to the resort town of Hua Hin. In 28 days I covered more than 450 km. Although, due to bad weather, I had to sit on the shore for 7 days out of 28. This trip was one of the most exciting of my life, along with roller skating from Bangkok to Hua Hin and rafting on a wooden boat on the Mekong.
