As you know, the Talent Protocol core team previously announced the decision to sunset Builder.fi on Farcaster and Twitter. Today, we’re writing to provide a final update as we approach the closure of the app.
Builder.fi was more than just a Q&A marketplace — it was a place where users builders could discover each other, build their reputation, and monetize their knowledge, all built on top of the Farcaster and Base foundations. Since our award-winning launch at ETH Singapore in 2023, that Builder.fi has been an incredible journey.
Total users registered : 15,768
Total questions asked: 3,646
Total answers given: 336
Total transaction volume: 5.9 ETH
Highest TVL: 2.5 ETH
Good builders know when to say no, and after careful reflection, we decided to focus all our energy on Talent Protocol and the Builder Score. Closing Builder.fi isn’t a difficult choice; it’s a strategic one that aligns with our commitment to staying lean and shipping fast. This decision reflects our confidence in the future of Talent Protocol and our dedication to building even more impactful tools for our community.
Builder.fi is officially closing on August 31st, 2024. If you still have funds in your Privy embedded wallet, please ensure you withdraw them before this date. After August 31st, access to the platform will be discontinued, and all services will be terminated.
For those who miss the withdrawal deadline, please open a support ticket in the Talent Protocol Discord server after August 31st.
This is our final communication as the builder.fi team, and we want to express our deep gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Builder.fi was our first product built on Base and Farcaster, and we’ve learned so much along the way. We extend our sincere thanks to the Base, Privy, and Airstack teams for their support throughout this project.
As we move forward, we’re excited about the future of Talent Protocol and hope you’ll continue to be part of our community as we innovate and create new opportunities.
