Most of my life, I’ve been trying to figure out what I want in life.
Sara, what do you want? What do you want? What doooo you waant?!? Is the song that´s on repeat in my mind.
Then, a couple of years back, I was working with a business coach, and we (obviously) talked about that too — what I want
(because you know.. businesses need goals)
But she had gotten an update on my business, heard how overwhelmed I felt steering the ship of 20 clients and 2 employees, she said something that blew my mind.
She asked me a question I don´t think I´ve ever asked myself. She said:
Sara, what do you need?
Gosh? I´ve never even thought about that. What do I need? Sleep, water, nature, a boyfriend, and a good cry.
Yep, that´s where my mind went, but more importantly:
I realized how depraved I was of the most fundamental needs in life.
My favorite quote is this one by Sadhguru :
“If your foundation isn’t right, don’t build too much.”
And I wanted to share this because if you’re a doer like me—someone with unlimited energy to make things happen...
Don´t forget to strengthen your foundation.
A miserable and exhausted entrepreneur has a thin and fragile one.
So maybe it´s time to ask yourself, "What do I need?" to make sure your foundation is strong.
Your life and business depend on it.
