OK, I recently heard a scientist say:
"Theyβve proven that successful people have way more failures than people who didnβt succeed."
Then I started thinking about all the successes Iβve seenβ do they have more failures than the average person?
Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, got rejection after rejection when wanting to create her product. Today, sheβs a billionaire.
(P.S. Her dad used to ask her, "So what did you fail at this week?" every week. Failing was considered good in her household. It meant they tried.)
Tim Ferrissβs MEGAsuccessful book, The 4-Hour Workweek, was rejected by 27 publishers before it finally got printed.
And Thomas Edison? How many times did he fail before he finally invented the electric light bulb? I donΒ΄t know, but his famous quote might give us a clue:
βI have not failed. Iβve just found 10,000 ways that wonβt work.β
Looking at their numbers, I almost feel embarrassed that I only had three failed marketing campaigns in 2025.
Now I kind of wish I had at least 15.
In 2026, Iβve already had three more marketing fails.
2026 is looking good:
Iβm failing more.
Iβm failing faster.
Moving closer to the goalpost at an incredible speed.
So Iβll leave this one to you:
How much faster would you fail if you only needed to fail 30 more times?
