Now if you follow me on Instagram - you know I’m practicing the handstand (which is honestly more of a training in persistence and consistency - which we love)
But here´s what I want to share with you today. One of the first things the guys told me when I wanted to learn the handstand was:
"Sara, you have to learn to fall before you learn to stand."
Why?
Because if you don’t know how to fall (when you lose balance), you’ll never dare to push hard enough off the ground to actually get your feet where they need to be in order to stand.
They were right — I didn’t push hard enough until I knew what to do if I pushed too hard and fell.
So, why should you care about Sara and her handstands? Because it might just help you do the thing you secretly want to — but are still too scared to try.
Want proof? When I wanted to take a break from medical school, I did something called fear-setting by Tim Ferriss — and it’s basically that you actually dare to imagine the worst-case scenario 🔥. Because if you do... then you’ll realize that the worst case isn’t that bad — but also, you make a plan if it were to happen.
Here’s how you can do it:
Make 3 columns and answer:
Column 1: What’s the worst that could happen?
Column 2: How could you reduce the likelihood of it happening?
Column 3: If it did happen, what would you do?
Do it. Seriously.
It´s a game changer, or dare I say, life changer? Works 👏 every 👏 single 👏 time.
Life update 📅
Oh BOOOOOOY, have I had many meetings this week.
It’s all because I’m doing market research — I’m talking with potential clients, helping them with their issues to make sure my methodology works, and I’m also talking to fellow entrepreneurs who are working with my potential clients to understand more of their pain points from their perspective. It´s a loooot of information to take in - but I love learning, so my brain is happy 🧠
That, in addition to that I´m doing outreach, working out, reading books, meeting friends, meditating, journaling — I love it but I know that clarity is found in the spaces in between, so meditation and journaling are non-negotiable. Plus, this weekend I’ll make sure my schedule is pretty clear so I can let the space give me clarity, energy, and declutter my mind ❤️
I hope you are doing really well, and if not, I promise you with every cell in my body that it will get better. Everything is fleeting — the good and the bad. And you’ve got this. We’ve got this. ❤️
